Walk for Life: RC Makati F. Zobel Mobility Project

In an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing mobility and inclusivity, the RC Makati F. Zobel Mobility Project is set to make a significant impact. This endeavor, which focuses on providing free mobility aids such as wheelchairs, canes, strollers, and crutches, underscores a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with mobility challenges.

The project is made possible through collaborative efforts with key partners, including the major donor, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Las Piñas General Hospital. Additionally, the Municipal Government of Pateros, under the leadership of Mayor Ike Ponce, serves as the venue host, exemplifying local support and community engagement.

The Rotary Club of Metropolitan Pateros, led by Charter President Mil Villegas, who also serves as Councilor and Health Committee Chair of the Pateros Municipal Council, plays a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating the event. Media coverage and support are provided by DZRH, enhancing outreach and awareness.

Scheduled for June 28, 2024, at Pateros Elementary School's Multi-Purpose Gym on P. Herrera St., Pateros, the event commences at 8 am. This gathering brings together recipient clubs such as RC Metropolitan Pateros, RC Makati EDSA, RC Makati McKinley, RC Makati Metro, RC Makati Pio Del Pilar, RC Makati West, RC Makati Olympia, RC Muntinlupa Central, RC Las Piñas South, RC Parañaque Central, and RC Parañaque South.

District 3830, under the leadership of Gov. Jay Tambunting, extends its full cooperation and participation, alongside top presidents from various Rotary clubs within the district. This collective effort highlights the Rotary spirit of service and collaboration in fostering positive community impact.
