Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris Joins Unite for Good: Rotary District 3820 President’s Ball and PESECLF Learning Seminar to Empower Rotary Leaders for Greater Impact

On March 23, 2025, the vibrant city of Cebu became the epicenter of Rotary leadership

and service as it hosted the prestigious Rotary District 3820 President's Ball and

Presidents Elect, Secretaries Elect, and Club Learning Facilitators Learning Seminar

(PESECLF). The event, held at the luxurious Bai Hotel, gathered Rotarians from across

the region, all united by the theme Unite for Good, which emphasized leadership,

service, and collaboration.

This annual event served as a meaningful platform for Rotary leaders, providing an

enriching seminar for incoming Presidents Elect, Secretaries Elect, and Club Learning

Facilitators. It offered valuable insights and skills to help them lead their respective

clubs with a greater impact and purpose. The seminar played a pivotal role in

preparing Rotarians for the challenges of leadership, giving them the tools

necessary to elevate their communities through service.

The evening was not only a learning opportunity but also a celebration of fellowship and

camaraderie. A particularly memorable moment of the night was the captivating

performance by the legendary Filipino band ASIN. Their heartfelt music resonated with

the crowd, creating an atmosphere of unity and reflection. ASIN’s performance was a

fitting tribute to the spirit of Rotary, embodying collective action and a shared

commitment to the greater good. Their music highlighted the power of unity,

reminding everyone present of the profound impact that collaboration can have in

addressing the needs of communities.

The Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris, though not a member of District 3820, was

proudly represented at the event by Assistant Governor - Elect Christine Tan Ashby.

Dressed in a stunning blue gown, Christine’s presence illuminated the event,

symbolizing the club’s unwavering dedication to the values of Rotary. AG-E Christine’s

participation reflected the club’s ongoing commitment to fostering partnerships

with fellow Rotarians across districts, ensuring that its leadership and

contributions continue to strengthen the spirit of service and fellowship.

The event underscored Rotary’s unyielding power to bring people together for a

common purpose. Leaders, clubs, and communities united under the shared mission of

service, with each participant playing a key role in building a brighter future. It was a

powerful reminder that, through collective effort, Rotarians can achieve extraordinary

results and create lasting change.

The President’s Ball and PESECLF Learning Seminar also highlighted Rotary's

importance in empowering future leaders. By equipping Presidents Elect and

Secretaries Elect with the necessary skills and insights, the seminar aims to drive

greater impact in the communities these leaders serve. This initiative is a testament to

Rotary’s dedication to ensuring that leadership is not just about holding a title but about

making a tangible difference in the world.

The impact of such gatherings is felt not only during the event but long after, as

Rotarians return to their respective clubs energized and prepared to take action.

Through such events, Rotary continues to build stronger leaders who are equipped to tackle the complex challenges of today’s world, ensuring that the mission of service above self remains at the heart of everything they do.

As Rotarians, the work never truly ends. Each day presents new opportunities to serve

and to build a better, more compassionate world. The event in Cebu reminded every

participant that the power of service, combined with leadership, can change lives for the

better. And so, the journey continues—united for good, and ever determined to make

the world a better place.
