On June 1st, the PRIDE March 2024 was a success, thanks to the collaboration and support of numerous partners.
This year's June PRIDE Month theme, "Hilway 2024: Rise to Freedom," was introduced by our Diversity, Equity and Inclusions or DEI partner, Queen of Aklan.
The march was led by crowned Queen of Aklan 2023 Devine Pogoy, alongside with RC Metro Kalibo President Ricky Molo.
During the event, Past President Megs Lunn took the stage to advocate for creating a positive, collaborative, and healthy environment for all.
Participating in Pride events promotes inclusivity and support for all individuals regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Organizations involved in such events like Rotary play a key role in promoting DEI.
Various partners, including the Province of Aklan, LGU Kalibo, Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC), Red Cross Youth Aklan, JCI Aklan Kalantiao, and Aklan Butterfly Brigade, as well as volunteers from photography and vlogging groups, Kalibo Cable TV, Aklan Cable TV, and Radio, participated in the event.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who joined this march. It is indeed another meaningful year advocating for the Rise to Freedom cause.
