The Rotary Club of Downtown Davao successfully held Buntis Day 2025 at the Center for Hope, Agdao, an initiative dedicated to promoting maternal and child health. This event provided essential healthcare services, education, and support to expectant mothers, ensuring a healthier journey for both mothers and their babies.
In line with Rotary International’s focus on Maternal and Child Health, Buntis Day 2025 featured prenatal wellness sessions that covered topics such as proper nutrition, pregnancy management, and self-care.
Healthcare professionals guided mothers on how to maintain a healthy pregnancy, prepare for childbirth, and care for their newborns. In addition, free dental check-ups were provided, emphasizing the importance of oral health during pregnancy and its impact on overall well-being.
Beyond maternal care, the event also extended support to the daycare students of the Center for Hope. Rotarians spent time with the children, engaging them in activities that encouraged learning and creativity. These moments highlighted the importance of early childhood education and the role of community support in a child’s development.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Davao City Health Office and the dedication of Rotarian doctors and dentists, who volunteered their expertise to provide much-needed healthcare services. Their commitment reflects Rotary’s mission of service and the belief that strong, healthy families create stronger communities.
A sincere thank you to our partners, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Your support continues to make a meaningful impact, helping mothers and children receive the care and attention they deserve. He
