Overview

Rotarians are very busy and active people. They function within their clubs, professions and districts and get involved with many projects that reaches and help various communities.  The Philippine Rotary Magazine provides a vehicle for disseminating inspirational stories and news about how Rotary Clubs and their members make an impact to the communities their reach.  It is a glue to connect the 10 Rotary International Districts located across the more than 7,000 islands of the Philippines.  It is one of the Regional Rotary Magazines recognized by Rotary International specifically for the Philippines.

Philippine Rotary Magazine Foundation, Inc.

PRMFI is the publisher of the Philippine Rotary magazine, the official regional magazine of Rotary International for all Philippine Rotary clubs.

The Philippine Rotary Magazine is part of the Rotary Global Media Network consisting of 34 regional magazines in more than 130 countries, and published in 24 languages. Its combined circulation is 872,000.

The contents of the Philippine Rotary Magazine is 30% from Rotary International (RI President’s Message, TRF updates, International news, etc.) and 70% from local sources – club projects, Rotary news, general interest (wellness, sports, management and others). 

Brief History

  • The Philippine Rotary Magazine was launched by the Philippine College of Rotary Governors (PCRG) during the term of PRIP Mateo “Mat” Caparas as chairman. 

  • PDG Antonio “Jun” Tambunting, Jr. was appointed as its first editor-in-chief. Its maiden issue was launched on 1978.

  • In 1981, the PRM was accredited by Rotary International as an official Rotary regional magazine.

  • PRM was reorganized in 1997 and created a new editorial board headed by PDG Mar Un Ocampo III as Editor-In-Chief. 

  • On July 1, 2010, the Philippine Rotary Magazine Foundation Inc. was organized wherein a Board of Trustees was created with PDG J. Antonio Quila as founding chairman

  • In RY 2019-2020, the proves of digitalization was initiated under Chairman PDG Sam Pagdilao. The digitized magazine features and content were initiated with the appointment of the new Editor-In-Chief PDG Sonny Coloma.

  • By RY 2020-2021, PRM started operating independently from PCRG thru the election of PDG Rey David as incoming chairman. 

  • On May 2021, the first Philippine Rotaract Magazine digital edition came out.

  • By January 1, 2022, the 100% PRM Digital Transformation was implemented with a new name, Philippine Rotary Media Foundation Inc. under the chairmanship of PDG Boyet Limon.
